Dr. Brit’ny Richardson
Dr. Brit’ny Richardson grew up just south of Atlanta in Rex, Georgia. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Spelman College, a Master’s from Duke University and Doctorate of Chiropractic from Cleveland University – Kansas City.
At the age of 13, Dr. Richardson was diagnosed with Dysmenorrhea and experienced debilitating menstrual cycles each month. In an attempt to alleviate her pain, her doctors prescribed numerous pain medications and oral contraceptives. While studying at Duke, Dr. Richardson learned about the potential long term adverse effects of synthetic hormones and decided to discontinue the medication. Dr. Richardson was repeatedly encouraged to pursue chiropractic care but like most of society, she was convinced that chiropractic treatment was intended for accident victims who suffered back injuries and was certain she was not a candidate for chiropractic care.
Dr. Richardson eventually visited a chiropractor to receive a comprehensive neurological examination. During her visit, she was educated on the power of the nervous system and how it controls every process happening in the body. She learned about the concept of nerve interference and how misalignments in the spine limit the brain’s ability to communicate with the body. After gaining a true understanding of chiropractic and how it could improve her overall health, Dr. Richardson began receiving chiropractic care. After a series of consistent specific chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Richardson’s menstrual abnormalities were eliminated. She had finally discovered an option that addressed her issue at its source instead of exposing her body and the environment to synthetic chemicals. She was truly inspired!
Dr. Richardson soon realized that chiropractic was a profound expression of her deepest values—natural healing, reducing chemical exposures, actively problem solving and bringing joy to others. She is on a mission to lead the ___ community in replenishing its true capacity to heal, adapt and thrive through neurologically-based chiropractic care.
Dr. Richardson is married to her incredible husband, Ronnie and together they have a joyous son, Ronnie Grant. She enjoys traveling, cliff jumping, spa days, organizing/repurposing and trying new cuisines.
